Reading this policy
This page does not load advertisements, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon or a consent panel, even if you previously allowed analytics elsewhere on this site. Cloudflare still handles the technical connection needed to deliver the page.
Files and generated output
Your selected images, webcam frames and banner text are processed in your browser. The converters do not upload them to an ASCIIForge processing server. Clipboard and camera access are requested only when you use those features. Shared-banner links contain the text you enter in their URL. Share them only when you intend recipients to see that text, and avoid including personal or confidential information.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics 4 measures visits and interactions. Microsoft Clarity provides usage insights and session replays. Their scripts load only after you choose Allow analytics. They may use cookies and send browsing, device and interaction data to Google or Microsoft. Clarity is not loaded on shared-banner URLs containing a text parameter; tool input, previews and generated output are marked for masking. Google Analytics receives the page address without the query string or fragment. Tool events contain fixed categories for the tool, output format, page language and visit source; they do not include your text, generated artwork or file names. Optional analytics are based on your consent. When an operation fails, a standardized error category may also be sent, without the error message or file contents.
Cloudflare and site performance
Cloudflare delivers the pages and assets and processes technical connection information, such as IP address and request details. Other pages also use the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon for aggregate traffic and performance measurements, independently of the optional analytics choice. That beacon does not use analytics cookies or browser storage. It is excluded from this privacy page.
Choices, storage and retention
On other pages, the Privacy settings button in the footer lets you allow or reject optional analytics. Withdrawing permission reloads that page to stop scripts already running; save your result first. Your locally saved choice is valid for up to 180 days. After analytics consent, a visit-source category is stored in session storage with a 30-minute validity period. The service worker and browser caches support offline tools; their cached files are separate from analytics. You can remove stored site data through your browser. Provider-side retention follows the service settings and provider policies; withdrawing consent does not delete information already sent. Gallery favorites are stored as artwork identifiers on your device when you save them. They are independent of analytics permission, shared across page languages, and can be cleared with Clear saved items. README editor fields stay in page memory, are not sent to analytics and are not included in banner share links.
AdSense verification and advertising
The site contains an AdSense account-verification meta tag and an ads.txt publisher record. Advertising scripts and ads are currently disabled. No Google European regulations consent message is currently loaded by these pages. These verification files do not themselves load an advertising script.
Privacy contact and provider information
For privacy questions or requests concerning access, correction or deletion of personal data, contact hello@asciiforge.com. Provider information, including their data handling, retention and international transfers, is available through the links below. You may also contact the data protection authority in your country. Contact-form submissions are currently disabled. When enabled, the optional name, email, topic and message will be sent to the shared QRWave contact service hosted by Cloudflare, forwarded through Resend and received through Google/Gmail. Cloudflare provides hosting and server-side abuse protection. Its application counters record technical identifiers, date and site, without names, emails, messages or IP addresses. Contact pages load no analytics, session recordings, ads or consent panel. Form fields remain in page memory, are not saved in browser storage or the service worker cache, and are cleared on success or when you leave the page. No attachment or automatic reply is sent. The email provider accepting a message does not confirm delivery. Correspondence retention and controller details must still be specified by the owner.
